Our history A family that’s all Joors!
It was 1928 when Derk Johannes Janssen passed through Vollenhove with a horse and cart. With crates full of fruit from the Betuwe and vegetables from the Koekoekspolder, his excellent eye for the best fresh produce made his fellow villagers happy. Almost 100 years later, Johannes and Ida Janssen, with the fresh produce wholesale company Joors, are still doing the same job as their great-grandfather, but with the world as their supplier and Europe as their market.

Working together towards a plastic-free future, for the new generations who want to enjoy the purity that nature has to offer as much as we do – that’s the mission of our Johannes brand. Through this brand we offer fully sustainable and highly varied packaging for potatoes, vegetables, and fruit.
